University of South Alabama, DPT (2012)
John grew up in Tennessee and initially pursued a career in Electrical Engineering but, later, decided to become a physical therapist because of the desire to contribute to the lives of others and to assist them in reaching their goals. John enjoys helping patients of all age ranges and backgrounds and is equally interested in assisting grandparents return to playing with their grandchildren as he is in helping athletes return to competition, at the highest level possible.
While valuing all therapy settings, John especially enjoys working in the outpatient setting due to the variety of patients and conditions that he is able to treat. It is also a setting that allows him to develop meaningful relationships with his patients and clients, getting to know them and learn more about their goals and interests.
John had previously lived in Ogden and has since returned due to his enjoyment of the
mountains, the four seasons, and the variety of activities that are available in the area. These common interests make it easy to relate to many others in the area that are here for those same reasons.
John believes in furthering his education and skillset to allow him to better diagnose and treat his patients, which progresses them further towards their goals in therapy. He is currently certified in the Graston Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization method and in dry needling and continues to look for additional areas of competency to assist his patients.
When not working, John enjoys outdoor activities such as hiking, mountain biking, and skiing.
